The Floor Is A Keyboard

Another instrument from the mind of Nicolas Bras, Tile Floor Keyboard is a new mallet instrument utilizing floor tiles as keys. Take a collection of floor tiles cut precisely into bars (like a xylophone), window joint strips used to maximize the resonance of the tiles, pipe resonators tuned for each tile, and you have the Tile Floor Keyboard. In Soundpaint, this 28 key chromatic keyboard gives you the full MIDI range of this sweet little resonant instrument.

Each note was sampled with 5 velocities and 5 repetitions per dynamic. Nicolas sampled the Tile Floor Keyboard with a hard mallet and a soft mallet. This two Part library is brought to life in the Programs with Main Programs and plenty of Presets with eye opening effects.
